Application for 3D Multi-Objective Stereo Cadastre

Under the trend of the development and promotion of smart cities around the world, the construction and presentation of two-dimensional maps in the past can no longer meet the needs of specific fields, such as underground pipelines, construction ownership, air pollution, etc., all need to express vertical attributes more accurately. Moreover, the production and display of spatial data in three-dimensional can simultaneously express the relationship between the horizontal and vertical of the spatial objects, which can bring more realistic experience to the user, and is one of the priorities of the future development of the geographic information system.

SuperGeo’s application and solution of 3D GIS are always kept ahead of others, the new SuperGIS Server 10.1 will be launched soon. It integrates the core technologies of 2D, 3D graphics service publishing, service management, and application platform erection. While it is equipped with 3D Earth analysis module, you can freely publish and share 3D model services, and then easily set up the platform for 3D platform application by overlaying the brick service and Digital Elevation Model such as satellite aerial photography. At present, SuperGeo is dedicated to the 3D scene construction of underground pipelines and the promotion of the 3D Cadastral Building Model in the theme analysis and management application of 3D GIS. Here are some application cases:

With the development of the economy, the land in the city is limited, and the price is high. However, there is still a lot of demand, so that the buildings have to develop in a vertical direction. That is, the higher the building is the more complicated the building’s property rights change in the vertical direction. The traditional two-dimensional representation of the space rights message of the building has not met the needs of the use. Besides, with the improvement of claims-consciousness, people pay attention to issues such as sunshine rights, sunshine rights and landscape rights, and urban landscapes. At this time, the combination of 3D GIS and land administration can be used as a tool for the management of 3D land use rights. Through the display and application of the 3D Cadastral Building Model, the management and evaluation of cadastral property rights can be carried out.

Through the cooperation of industry, government, and academia, SuperGeo collaborates with the team which is led by the Land Planning and Environment Research Center of the University of Taipei, and Quantasoft which is specializing in the integration of land information. SuperGeo provides the underlying core API and technology for 3D GIS presentation, which supports various 3D model formats such as i3S, 3D tiles and kmz (Figure 1), providing various OGC services, vector tile publishing and overlaying. It also supports various analyses such as time-series data display, Viewshed Analysis, etc. (Figure 2) to meet the needs of 3D cadastre in display and management applications.
