2022 High Level Political Forum (HLPF)

The High Level Political Forum (HLPF) hosted by the United Nations brings the leaders and civil society organizations worldwide together every July to examine the status of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and propose solutions.
HLPF is now in its 10th year. Co-organized by TaiwanICDF and Taiwan in New York’s Taipei Economic and Cultural Office, this year’s video seminar “Incorporating Digital Transformation with Broader Inclusiveness and Greater Innovation to Build a Straight Path to Sustainability Post Covid-19”, on July 14, 2022, at 10:00 pm Taipei time, gathered experts from different professions and areas across countries.

🎉Honored to be invited!

Supergeo is honored to be invited by TaiwanICDF to attend this year’s seminar!
Together with Swatini, St. Christopher and Nevis, TaiwanICDF, U.S Agency for International Development (USAID), and the Global Fishing Watch (GFW), we discussed how to use digital technology to provide solutions for education, gender equality, environment, and health care in the post-COVID-19 era of accelerated digitalization, to help the world overcome the pandemic and continue on the path of sustainable development.

🎯The Mutual Goal: Build a Sustainable Digital Ecosystem

Taiwan has been promoting GIS for 20 to 30 years, and recently our government is sparing no effort to promote a smart nation that is in line with the world.
Seeing the international trend and seizing the opportunity of digital transformation in the post-epidemic era, we are committed to building whole-cycle planning by integrating epidemic control, disaster prevention, environment, e-learning, e-commerce, telecommunication, etc., and also to developing intelligent transportation systems and urban planning. Meanwhile, we do not forget to pay attention to the digital divide caused by the gap between the rich and the poor or urban and rural areas, network security, and other issues, to create a more comprehensive and balanced digital ecosystem for sustainable development. With open data standards and information circulation, the static, real-time image information and dynamic information can be integrated into the GIS platform for more value-added applications, which is believed to be critical for the development of decision-making systems in the future to enhance the government’s governance efficiency and spatial decision management.
