GriBat Consultants Selects SuperPad for Spatial Data Collection

Supergeo, the worldwide leading GIS software provider, is pleased to announce that SuperPad, the mobile GIS for Windows and Windows Mobile, has been earlier chosen by French building consulting firm GriBat. By selecting SuperPad, GriBat aims to help workers collect and digitalize spatial data directly in the field. Located in Vitry-sur-Seine, a town in the suburbs around Paris, GriBat provides several professional consulting services in building and construction planning, like risk prevention plans for occupational safety, on-site diagnostics for demolition, barrier-free designs for the disabled, etc.

SuperPad is a multifunctional mobile GIS designed for spatial data collection. Developed by Supergeo’s own techniques, SuperPad has been proved a very reliable and stable performance after a series of testing. Other than basic GIS functions like collecting, editing, and displaying spatial data in the field, it can also send the data back to GIS servers or cloud storage spaces as long as the internet connection is available. In addition, when using SuperPad with professional surveying instruments, users are allowed to connect to the NTRIP service for high precision positioning, making it more useful for small-scale data collection. Recently, SuperPad has further augmented its power by adding the support for MBTiles format and SQLite database, enabling users to load and process a huge amount of data so that even wider area surveying could be done with ease.
