SuperGIS DataConvertor 3 — The Integrated Data Conversion Tool

The new version of SuperGIS DataConvertor 3 supports raster data conversion and integrates Data Conversion Tool and NRT Data Converter of SuperGIS 2 series so that vector data, raster data, and network data can be converted in this new version. Powerful File Conversion Capability

SuperGIS DataConvertor 3 is suitable for users at all levels, and even light users can easily convert the data. Besides the basic data conversion, a number of advanced conversion functionalities are provided by SuperGIS DataConvertor for heavy users to deal with more complicated tasks.

You may want to convert quantities of data or the data in different folders in the computer; with the batch conversion functionality, you are able to select multiple files in different formats in a single folder to convert or select numerous folders and SuperGIS DataConvertor will be able to select the files in the same formats in the selected folders to convert automatically. Converting Various File Formats

Besides Raster Data, SuperGIS DataConvertor 3 also provides conversion for Vector Data and NRT Data for users to choose.

In the mode of Vector Data, you can convert the files between SuperGeo self-defined GEO vector format and other common vector formats. SuperGIS DataConvertor supports to convert GEO format to 8 kinds of vector formats, such as Standard Exchange Format (*.sef) and supports to convert 10 types of vector formats, such as Standard Exchange Format (*.sef) to GEO format. If you choose Raster Data mode, you can convert the files between SuperGeo self-defined format (*.sgr) and common raster data formats. It supports to convert SGR format to 3 types of raster formats, like LAN File (*.lan), or convert 8 types of raster data, such as LAN File (*.lan) to SGR format. In NRT mode, the two vector formats, SuperGeo Format (*.geo) and ESRI Shape (*.shp) are supported to convert to NRT format.

Support for Spatial Reference Conversion

The spatial reference of the data is usually converted during the process of data format conversion; SuperGIS DataConvertor 3 definitely supports the task. While you are converting the spatial reference of the data, the spatial reference of the input data should be known in order to convert the spatial reference correctly. Therefore, as the data contain the correct spatial reference, the data can be overlaid with other data correctly to maximize the value of the data.

Furthermore, when you would like to convert raster file formats and NRT file formats, there are some advanced settings users can adjust to output the most suitable files. For example, in raster data mode, you can adjust the compression mode and output quality. In outputting NRT files, you also can set Turn Threshold, Turn Cost, Weight, etc in Settings window so that the converted files can be used for Network analysis more appropriately.
