Raster Elevation Properties

In SuperGIS Cube, you can use DTM data to build 3D terrain model. The principle is to take DTM data with elevation information equipped as the base map and then to overlap satellite imagery layers. After the delicate calculation, the satellite imagery will display the folds in different scale with 3D effect according to the height ratio.

To add DTM layers, click on the add terrain , and select the DTM layer to add. After added, you can check/uncheck the layer to show/hide terrain. You can set the exaggeration in the setting tool to determine the terrain exaggeration.

NOTE:Terrain exaggeration is aimed to express with higher exaggeration on the height difference. The relief of a map of small scale might not be readable, but if we multiply the height to an exaggeration factor, the relief will be higher exaggerated and easier for analysis.
