Semivariogram

A typical variogram has 3 important parameters, and they are:

Sill

Range

Nugget Effect

γ(h)will approach a fixed value ultimately, and this value is called “Sill”, where the distance “h” is called “Range”, meaning that there is no correlation between data beyond this range. Another feature is “Nugget Effect” which is the intercept of the curve on the semivariance axis. This may be caused by the variability in the small intervals between small samples or experimental errors of observed values.
