Parameters of A Typical Variogram

A typical variogram has three important parameters: Sill, Range, and Nugget Effect. (h) will approach a fixed value ultimately, and this value is called “Sill”, where the distance h is called “Range”, meaning that there is no correlation between data beyond this range. The last feature is the “Nugget Effect” which is the intercept of the curve on the semivariance axis. This may be caused by the variability in the small intervals between small samples or by the experimental errors of observed values.
