Managing and Mataining - Accounts

 

 

This section explains how to manage and maintain user accounts to secure your SuperGIS Server.

 

1.Run SuperGIS Server Manager and log in server, and clickSettings on SuperGIS Server home page.

 

2.Click Accounts on the menu of Server Manager Settings, and Accounts setting page appears, on which you can manage and maintain the user account.

 

 

 

 

3.Click Add on the right side of the Account list, enter the new account and click Done to add a new user.

 

 

 

 

4.The new account is added to Accounts list. Please note that as one account is created, the login name is not allowed to change.

 

5.You can select one account in Accounts and click Delete  to delete the selected account.

 

 

 

 

6.When you select one account in Accounts list, you can advanced set up the settings for this account in Accounts Settings below.

     

 

 

    

Alias: Click Edit  and enter the alias for the account. Then click Save.

Description: Click Edit and enter the descriptive text for the account. Then click Save.

Password: Click Edit and enter the password for the account. Then click Save..

Administrator: Checking this item stands for the selected account owns the administrator permission.

Valid: Checking this item stands for the selected account is valid. 

Modify By User: Checking this item stands for users can change the password and alias of the selected account.

Expired DateTo specify whether this account is still valid after the specific date. Click Set to set the expiration date of the specific account, and click Done to finish setting.

 

 

 

 

Valid DirectoriesSpecify the folders could be accessed by the account.

 

7. Click Save.
