SuperGIS Server Manager for GIS Web Application

Web Application Type

SuperGIS Server Manager, a web management tool provided in SuperGIS Server, allows to online publish service and to help users easily and quickly create the Web application. With SuperGIS Server Manager, you can utilize the services published by SuperGIS Server as website map services to create the several types of map websites and services, including Ultra, Flex, Silverlight, KML and OGC Web Service.

Through SuperGIS Server Manager, users can provide the map services published by SuperGIS Server for front-end users as a website. Therefore, users can apply browsers to view SuperGIS Server map services instead of purchasing other front-end software to read the map services of SuperGIS Server. Moreover, SuperGIS Server Manager can also publish several web map services conforming to OGC (OpenGIS Consortium) standards, such as WMS, WFS, WCS and WMTS to provide the map services which can be shared and interoperated easily to meet different users' need. Through KML service published by SuperGIS Server Manager, the map data in KML format which can be read by Google Earth is available to download.

SuperGIS Server Ultra Website supports the regular Map Service, Map Cache Service and Feature Service published by SuperGIS Server, users can create the needed type of website on accordance with the purpose. SuperGIS Server Flex website and SuperGIS Server Silverlight website only support Map Cache Service, so please ensure the Map Cache service is ready before create the two types of website.

SuperGIS Server Manager provides three types of website template, including Ultra, Flex and Silverlight. More, it also supports to publish special GIS services, such as KML, WMS, WFS, WCS and WMTS. We are going to describe how to create websites and publish special GIS services in SuperGIS Server Manager.

After you successfully login SuperGIS Server, click Create my GIS web application on SuperGIS Server Manager frontpage to enter Web Application page. In the first page of Web Application page, the left side shows the available GIS web application types and the description for each type is in the right side. SuperGIS Sever offers Ultra, Flex, Silverlight, KML and OGC Web Service. Among the five GIS web applications, Ultra, Flex and Silverlight create the GIS map website, while KML and OGC Web Service publish the special GIS web service.
