Setting Permission for Bing Maps Website

Unlike integrating other types of websites, to integrate SuperGIS Server MapCache map service with Bing Maps website takes extra setting, to allow running Script on website directory so that SuperGIS Server MapCache map service can overlay and display correctly. This sample will illustrate with Windows Server 2003 operating system.

1.Right-click My Computer and select Manage.

2.In Computer Management window navigate to "Services and Applications" > "Internet Information Services(IIS) Manager" > "Website" > "Default Website" find out the Bing Maps virtual directory created in previous section and right-click on it and choose "Properties."

3.In the virtual directory properties window switch to "Virtual Directory" tab and set "Run Permission" "Script Only."

4.Click OK and the permission for Bing Maps website is set up.

NOTE: To Windows Server 2008, we simply need to set the website virtual directory as application instead of setting script permission.
