SuperGIS Server Edit Website Online Editing

 

 

Besides using SuperGIS Desktop or SuperPad to online edit SuperGIS Server feature services, SuperGIS Server can publish feature services as websites as well, which allows front-end users to do the online editing through general web browsers. Online editing is the unique function on SuperGIS Server Edit website. With the feature service published by SuperGIS Server, users can edit the selected feature online by the add button and edit button on toolbar.

 

 

 

The online editing function provided by SuperGIS Server Edit website can only edit single feature. Before using these functions, users have to select one layer as edited active layer in the layer list which is on the right side of the web. Then, users can apply add button and edit button to edit selected layer online. The layer list is on the right side of SuperGIS Server Edit website and it displays all active layers on the website. The layer will be marked by gray color when it is checked.

                     

 

 

For example, if you want to add a point feature on SuperGIS Server Edit website, you need to select the point layer in the layer list first, and utilize the add tool on toolbar to click on the point feature you want to add. And input attribute data of each field in the feature attribute window. After clicking update button in the window, you can add a new point feature.

 

If you want to edit the existing attribute of point feature on the map, select the point feature you want to edit in the layer list and utilize the edit tool to click on the layer. After the feature attribute window appears, you can modify the attribute data. Click the update button in the window, the feature attribute data can be modified.

 

 

 

When you use add and edit feature functions of SuperGIS Server Edit website, not only the feature attribute window appears for front-end users to edit attribute data, the added and edited features also display on the map as editable status.      

 

 

 

The editable point is marked by yellow color, users can drag the feature by clicking; the editable line is marked by red boxes on endpoints or junctions, users can drag each red box to modify the length or the direction; the nodes of editable polygon are also marked by red boxes, users can drag each red box to modify the shape or the size by clicking.

 

 

 

When you finish adding or editing feature, remember to back to feature attribute window to click update button to save and renew feature content.

 

 

 

Note: Please note that SuperGIS Server Edit website needs to work with SuperGIS Server feature service so that front-end users can edit the features on browsers. In addition, SuperGIS Server Edit website only allows users to edit the editable features set in feature service; other features which do not set editable can be viewed and queried only.
