SuperPad Edit Tools
When you want to use SuperPad edit tools to edit SuperGIS Server feature service layer, firstly you need to make the service layer on SuperPad editable. Then, you can use the tools provided by SuperPad to edit the features. Basically, SuperGIS Server feature layers and other local host layers are manipulated in the same way; you can regard it as manipulating point layer, line layer, or polygon layer on the local host.
The editing functionality of SuperPad mainly depends on switching the various tools. For example, while selecting features to edit, you need to use Edit Selected Feature menu and use feature editing tools to edit an entire feature or vertex (line layer/polygon layer). Therefore, before starting editing, please choose the tools you need firstly. The following is the descriptions of the editing functions of each edit toolbar.
With the menu, you can select the feature you want to edit or cancel the selection. If PDA has GPS functions, you can use GPS current position to select features. You can zoom the map to the extent of the selected features to edit the features more clearly.
With the feature editing tools, you can move, offset, remove vertex and feature, and even insert a vertex; besides, you can draw a line as well.
You can add new features for different types of layers, including point, line, and polygon.
(1) point: creating points. (2) line: adding line features by using line, polyline, and freehand polyline. (3) polygon: adding polygon feature by using rectangle, polygon, ellipse, circle, and freehand polygon.
you can use Edit Attribute window to edit the attributes of the feature or use Edit Space window to edit the spatial data of the feature.
when you activate GPS, you can add new features by capturing the GPS current position.
Note: In using SuperPad, not all of the edit tools can be applied at the same time. Some tools are enabled in some particular conditions. For example, GPS related tools become enabled when you turn on GPS. An enabled tool is displayed in colors. On the contrary, if a tool is disabled, the tool is displayed in gray. About the detailed manipulation of SuperPad edit tools, please refer to SuperPad manual.
