LiDAR LAZ Files

LAZ is a file format developed by Martin Isenburg’s Library. LAZ function within LiDAR Tool is used to compress ASPRS LIDAR LAS data into LAZ file. Through LAZ function, a LAS file can be compressed into a LAZ one, whose size is around 10 percent of the original LAS file. In such a way, it would be more effective for sharing, accessing and copying LAS files. You can also refer to LAZ Files Description on official website.
