Editing The Existing Dimension Line

 

 

Any existing dimension line can be edited again. To do so, please use Select Dimension to select the target dimension feature; once you do so, the selected dimension feature can be edited. You can drag and move the end dimension point by mouse pointer to change the value annotated by the dimension line. You can also delete the selected dimension feature by clicking the Delete button on Dimension Toolbar or press the Delete button on your keyboard.

 

In addition, dimension line style can be modified as well. To do so, you need to specify the target dimension feature on which the selected one will be modified, use Select Dimension to select the dimension feature, and click the Table button. Once you see the pop-up Dimension attribute dialog box, you can modify the selected dimension feature’s style by adjusting its parameters.

Parameter Introduction

BEGINX, BEGINY;

DIMX,DIMY;

ENDX, ENDY

The three parameters are used to record coordinate values of a dimension feature’s begin point and end point. Parameter BeginX, BeginY represent XY coordinates of the Begin Dimension Point, while EndX, EndY stand for XY coordinates of the End Dimension Point, and DimX, DimY serve as XY coordinates of the Dimension Line Point. Modify the parameters, you can adjust the dimension feature including its being point, end point, and the measured value.

Style ID

The ID of dimension feature’s style by which you can modify dimension feature style. To do so, click Value of Style ID on Dimension attribute table; then you can select different styles from the drop-down menu.

USECUSTOMLENGTH

The parameter used to define either the custom value or the default value that will be applied. Value “No” means that no custom setting is applied, and the dimension line annotation value is the actual measured length (default value). On the contrary, Value “Yes” means that custom setting is applied, and the dimension line annotation value is defined by costuming CUSTOMLENGTH parameter.

CUSTOMLENGTH

The parameter is used to define the dimension line annotation value. You can modify this parameter while the USECUSTOMLENGTH parameter is set as “Yes.”

DIMDISPLAY

The parameter used to define how the dimension feature displayed:

All: The two extension lines and the dimension line are displayed

Only Begin: Only the segment between the begin dimension line point and the text point is displayed

Only End: Only the segment between the end dimension line point and the text point is displayed

None: No dimension line is displayed

EXTDISPLAY

All: The two extension lines are displayed

Only Begin: Only the begin extension line is displayed

Only End: Only the end extension line is displayed

None: extension line is displayed

MARKERDISPLAY

All: Both of the begin and the end dimension line end arrow markers are displayed

Only Begin: Only the begin dimension line end arrow marker is displayed

Only End: Only the end dimension line end arrow marker is displayed

None: No dimension line end arrow marker is displayed
