Editing Scale Text

In addition to scale bar, “Scale Text” is another choice for users. The scale relationship between the map and the real field will be indicated by words through this function. Users could use “Edit” and choose “Insert”, and then choose “Scale Text”. This object could be inserted by right-clicking on layout view.

Scale text includes two display types, “Relative” and “Absolute.” Scale text in “Relative” mode presents scaled relationship by characters and distance unit, e.g., 1 centimeter = 100 meter. While it presents by separator in “Absolute” mode, e.g., 1:100. The introduction of “Scale text” shows as the following. Firstly, set field “Format.” “Page Unit” and “Map Unit” must be set up in “Relative” mode. “Label” will show units those were chosen by users. Though setting of “Separator” defaults to “=”, it is still optional for users. Users could make a reference to indication of “Number Format” of “Field Properties” of “Editing Attribute Table” in “Editing Attributes.” In “Absolute mode”, users just need to set up “Separator” and “Number Format.” You can choose font and font color in “Font” field. During process of setting editing, previewing page will upgrade immediately with setting. Please click “OK” to complete “Scale Text”.
