Add Extent Indicators

 

 

When you have different map frames showing the same map layer but different map extents, you can add extent indicators to show the locations and extents of different map frames. To add an extent indicator, select the map frame which you want to add the extent indicator to and right-click on it and select Properties…, as shown in the figure below.

 

 

 

Switch to the Extent Indicator tab, and select the map frames whose extents you want to show. The added map frames will be shown on the right. Click OK to add the extent indicator. In addition, you can change the style of the extent indicator in Extent Indicator, as shown in the figure below.
