Generalize Tool

 

 

”Generalize Tool” is to generalize polyline and polygon features which have rather complicated line or outline. After selecting a line feature or a polygon feature, click “Generalize Tool” and the “Generalize” window shows up. Enter the “Maximum Allowable Offset” and click “OK”, the selected feature will be generalized. Please see the figures below, they are the result of polygon and polyline feature using generalize tool.
