Setting Symbol of Symbology

While setting symbols of layers, you can modify the style, fill, outline of each symbol. In this section, steps of symbol setting will be introduced in detail.

While the current map is showed by single type of symbols, such as point, line or polygon, users are able to modify style and color setting of legend in “Symbol Selector” within “Symbology” tab. Symbol type appearing at the right frame of “Symbol Selector” is the same as the layer type on map. Take picture below as an example; in “Symbology” tab, users can click the “Symbol” button and then set in pop-up window, “Symbol Selector” subsequently. To modify more setting like Type, Marker, or outline, etc, please click the “Properties” in “Symbol Selector” window.

Users are allowed to unify value of the selected fields of “Graduated Color”, “Graduated Symbol”, “Unique Values”, “Bar Chart”, “Pie Chart” or “Dot Density” simultaneously by setting values of "Value Field", "Classes" and "Normalization" and clicking subsequently.

Values of the single symbol in Symbology tab could be set by double clicking the specified symbol in page of the tab and then setting in pop-up window, “Symbol Selector.” To make more setting for “Type”, “Marker”, or “outline”, etc, please click the “Properties” in “Symbol Selector” window and then set in pop-up window, “Symbol.”
