Stretched Color

"Stretched Color" can be applied to multiband images and single-band images. In terms of multiband image, choose "Stretched Color" as the "Show" Color in "Image" tab first, and define the bands you would like to display. Then, choose a stretch type from none, minimum-maximum, histogram equalized, standard deviation, and custom.

If you choose Minimum-maximum, you may need to enter the values for minimum and maximum. The label of maximum and minimum will be changed according to the values you set.

If you choose "Standard Deviation", please set the number of standard deviation in “n.” For example, you enter 1 and the system defines the range of the stretched color by adding and subtracting 1 standard deviation to the average (the default n is 2). Then ,you can click "Histogram" button to see the distribution of the colors. If you choose "Custom" as the stretch type, the "Histogram" window will show up automatically. In the histogram, you can add or drag the breakpoint to set the distribution of the colors.

In stretch type, if users select “Minimum-Maximum”, “Histogram Equalized” or “Standard Deviations”, the “Statistics” button next to the histogram will be enable. The “Raster Statistics” window will pop up after the statistics button is clicked. The statistics can be calculated from “Entire Raster Data”, “Current Display Extent” and “Custom Extent”. “Entire Raster Data” refers to directly get the statistics of all image data; “Current Display Extent” will get the statistics of the image data in the current map extent; “Custom” enables users to set the extent by inputting the boundary of the four fields below and the statistics of image data within the defined extent will be obtained.

After the color stretch settings are finished, the image should be colorized. Choose the color in "Color" drop-down list to decide the colors displayed on the map. If "Inverse Color" is chosen, the image will be displayed as the inverse colors. If “Display pixel value as” is chosen, you can enter the values to assign the color to be displayed as No Color or an assigned color. Meanwhile, you can set “Display NoData as” NoColor or an assigned color. As the settings are completed, click "OK" to close the window.
