Feature Filter

The function allows users to define filter condition through SQL language, creating query expression then decide whether to display the filtered features on the map. Please see the figure below, go to Layer Properties, select the “Feature Filter” tab, click “Build Query” and the “Select by Attribute” window pops up. Build the filtering condition using the operators in window and click “OK.” The filtering condition will be listed in “Query Expression”, click “OK” and the features will be filtered by program based on the expression. The qualified features will be kept on the map, while those not qualified will be invisible on the map and no further function can be worked on them, even in the attribute table no data will show on it. In addition, users can directly input the filtering condition in “Query Expression.” Clear the “Query Expression” filed and the feature will not be filtered.

NOTE: Structured Query Language (SQL) is the expression used in “Build Query”, through which users can define the filtering condition. As to the manipulation, please refer to “Managing Attributes”>“Viewing and Querying Attributes”>“Selecting Features by Attribute.”
