NRT Introduction

To the road layer, several segments compose a road or route. When a road connects another road, the cross point appears, and the segments are generated. In SuperGIS, Network is composed by features(layer) and road data(NRT file); with the various connectivity modes of roads combined to the data, the complex traffic network of the real roads can be presented in a plane. The data records the abundant attribute data of the segment, such as network limit, road hierarchy, etc., which are the important base for planning the route.

In SuperGIS, the relative position of roads are sketched in *.geo or *.shp, and the connectivity and data of the segments which should be obtained from the real segments are recorded in NRT file, such as turn type, one-way road, length, speed limit, etc. The roads can be presented on the screen by adding layers; after NRT is added, the system starts to plan the route based on the data recorded in NRT. At last, the route planning result will be displayed on the screen in *.geo or *.shp.
