Network Elements

Network consists of a series of nodes and lines, which is used to describe how the resources are transferred and distributed spatially. Here in order to more efficiently express the overall network connectivity and limits, we classify the network into three elements:

Item

Description

Point

It includes the nodes and vertices which create the topology of the network and the basic elements of the network analysis, such as start point, end point, stop, facility, incident, barrier, etc.

Line

The channels to transfer the resources, used to simulate the real streets, rivers, pipe lines, air routes, etc.

Turn

Indicates the connections of networks; it is used to increase the cost for passing different types of turn or to prohibit entrance (No right-turn).
