Network Analysis Elements

After Closest Facilities is chosen, the five related network analysis elements (Facility, Incident, Point barrier, line barrier and polygon barrier) will be revealed on Network Location Window in the left side. Now we are to introduce the network analysis elements and the parameters.

Facility

It saves the network positions of the facilities. This layer contains two different symbols: the located facility and unlocated facility. Users can change the color and style of the Facility layer in Layers in the right side, or set the related parameters on Network Location Window in the left side.

Facility Parameters

Parameter

Description

Name

The name of the facility.

Position

The coordinates of the facility.

Range

Sets the range (distance or time) to search the incident from facility. The cost type can be switched between Time or Distance (the unit is second or meter) from Analysis Settings > Cost Type. The default Range is 3000, if you cannot get the result, this might be no result was found in this default range. We suggest you to modify the Range to fit your demand.

The Range parameter is meaningful only if users not to check Is Incident To Facility in Analysis Settings.

Incident

It saves the network positions of the incidents, for instance, the location of the car accident, or searching the nearest hospital or the one which can be arrived quickest to facilitate the staff to decide the hospital to go. This layer contains two different symbols: the located incident and unlocated incident. Users can change the color and style of the Incidents layer in Layers in the right side, or set the related parameters on Network Location Window in the left side.

Incident Parameters

Parameter

Description

Name

The name of the incident.

Position

The coordinates of the incident.

Target Facilities Count

The count of facility to search.

Found Facilities Count

The count of facility found.

Range

Sets the range (distance or time) to search the closest facilities. The cost type can be switched between Time or Distance (the unit is second or meter) from Analysis Settings > Cost Type. The default Range is 3000, if you cannot get the result, this might be no result was found in this default range. We suggest you to modify the Range to fit your demand.

The Range parameter is meaningful only if users check Is Incident To Facility in Analysis Settings.

Point Barrier, Line Barrier, Polygon Barrier

It stops or changes the accessibility of network data. This layer contains two different symbols: the located point barrier, unlocated point barrier, line barrier and polygon barrier. Users can change the color and style of the Barriers layer in Layers in the right side, or set the related parameters on Network Location window in the left side.

Point Barrier Parameters

Parameter

Description

Name

The name of point barrier.

Position

The coordinates of the point barrier.

Polyline Barrier Parameter

Parameter

Description

Name

The name of line barrier.

Polygon Barrier Parameter

Parameter

Description

Name

The name of polygon barrier.

Parameters of Analysis Settings

Parameter

Description

A-Star Weight

Sets A-Star weight, the higher the weight is, the searching range will be more like an area consisting of the two points.

Cost Type

The cost can be distance or time.

Is Incident To Facility

Sets to search from incident to facility or facility to incident.

Default Start Time

Sets the start time of the route, the unit is minute. 0 means 00:00, the default is 480, which means 08:00.

Use Hierarchy

Sets whether to use hierarchy or not.

Hierarchy Search Count

Uses hierarchy search count and set the count to search.

Output Shape Type

Sets the output type of the route result.

1.0: Displays the real route result.

2.1: Connects the start point and end point by a straight line.
