Adding GCP

Selecting a good GCP can result in a better rectification. Thus, it is suggested to set the GCP at the corner of intersections, buildings, parks, blocks or any other obvious and recognizable locations. However, setting many GCPs does not mean layers can be rectified well. GCPs should not be set within a certain area, but GCPs equally setting on the layer will increase the accuracy of the rectified layer and also minimize the errors.

In the new version of SuperGIS DataRectifier, click the Add GCP button on the toolbar in either Source Layer or Reference Layer, and the other Add GCP button in the other side will be automatically clicked. Therefore, you can click Add GCP button just once and set the GCPs and switch other buttons rapidly. The following are the steps for adding GCPs in SuperGIS DataRectifier:

1. Add Source Layer and Reference Layer respectively in source layer area and reference area of the window.

2. Click Add GCP button on Control Toolbar (either in source layer or reference layer).

3. Click the location you would like to add GCP on the Source Layer.

4. Click the corresponding location to add GCP on the reference layer.

5. You can view two GCPs numbered with the same ID, and GCPs are added.
