Open Geospatial Consortium, Inc.

Academic Sinica

Academia Sinica, the most preeminent academic institution in the Republic of China, was founded in 1928 to promote and undertake scholarly research in sciences and humanities. Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR)

Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) was established in 1967 by the Arabian Oil Company Limited (Japan) in fulfillment of its obligations under the oil concession agreement with the Government of the State of Kuwait. Spatial Information Research Center, CS, NTU

Spatial Information Research Center, CS, NTU, founded in 2008, is the prestigious education institute for spatial information research in Taiwan. It takes the responsibility for developing the spatial information research study and GIS technology, and promotes the GIS education. It also provides GIS services and technology to other education units and private organizations.
Institute for Information Industry

Institute for Information Industry (III) was incorporated in 1979 as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) through the joint efforts of public and private sectors, to support the development/applications of the information industry as well as the information society in Taiwan. III is a major contributor to Taiwan’s development into a significant player in the global ICT industry. III has also helped promote full utilization of ICT technologies in order to advance the establishment of a modern information society in Taiwan.
